TAILOR./ Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 May 2026

The short version

  • You can use the free CV Health Check without an account or payment.
  • Paid plans are subscriptions that auto-renew until you cancel. Cancel any time, in two clicks, from your Account page. No traps.
  • Your CV, job descriptions and the documents we generate from them remain yours. We don’t claim ownership of your content.
  • TAILOR is a tool, not a recruitment agency. We help you put your strongest case forward. We don’t guarantee interviews or offers.
  • Be honest in what you submit and what you produce with our help. Don’t use TAILOR to write fraudulent applications.
  • UK consumer rights are not affected by anything in this document.

1. Who we are

TAILOR is operated by EMJ Digital Solutions, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Service address: 61 Bridge Street, Kington, HR5 3DJ, United Kingdom. References to “we”, “us” and “our” throughout these terms refer to that operator. References to “you” and “your” refer to the person using the TAILOR service. For contractual queries, contact us at hello@tailor-get-noticed.com.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By using TAILOR (including the free CV Health Check) you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don’t use the service. By starting a paid subscription you also confirm you have read and accepted the cancellation, billing and refund terms in Section 7.

3. The service we provide

TAILOR is an AI-assisted application-enhancement tool. You submit a CV and a job description, and we generate a tailored CV, alignment report, cover letter, interview brief, company research and 30/60/90-day plan calibrated to that role. The free CV Health Check returns a score-only output without any generated documents.

The service uses third-party large language models (currently Anthropic’s Claude and/or OpenAI’s GPT-4 family) to produce its outputs. The list of sub-processors is published in our Privacy Policy.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use TAILOR. By using the service you confirm that you are of that age and have the legal capacity to enter into the agreement set out in these terms. TAILOR is intended for personal use in connection with your own job applications.

5. Your account

A TAILOR account is identified by your email address and is secured by passwordless sign-in (a one-time code sent by email). Keep your email account secure. Anyone with access to your inbox can sign in to TAILOR.

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. Deletion is immediate and removes your profile, saved sessions and referral records (see the Privacy Policy for what is retained at the payments processor for accounting reasons).

6. The free CV Health Check

The CV Health Check is offered free of charge and returns an alignment score and qualitative read of your CV against a job description, without generating downloadable documents. It is intended to give you a quick, no-commitment sense of fit. To prevent abuse of a free service we may apply reasonable per-device usage limits, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

What you’re buying

Two paid plans are available:

  • Weekly: £7.99 per week (recurring subscription), up to 5 new analyses per week.
  • Job Hunt Pack: £44.97 one-off (single payment, no auto-renew), 60 analyses with no expiry and no weekly cap.

Re-running an analysis you previously saved doesn’t count against your allowance. Prices include VAT where applicable.

Auto-renewal

The Weekly plan renews automatically at the end of each billing week until you cancel. We’ll charge the payment method you provided to Stripe. We may send you a reminder by email ahead of a renewal. Any sessions you haven’t used in the current week do not carry over to the next week. Your allowance resets to 5 each renewal. The Job Hunt Pack does not auto-renew. It’s a one-off purchase, so unused sessions stay in your pack until you use them. When you’ve used your 60 sessions you can buy another pack at any time.

How to cancel

Open the Account page, click “Manage subscription” and click Cancel. Two clicks. We do not require you to phone, email or fill in a form. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access for the rest of the billing period you’ve already paid for.

14-day cooling-off

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK consumers normally have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract for a refund. Because TAILOR is a digital service that begins as soon as you subscribe, by starting your subscription you expressly request that the service begins immediately and acknowledge that this waives the cooling-off right once any part of the service has been supplied. You may still cancel at any time under the “How to cancel” clause above; in that case Section 9 (Refunds) applies.

Payment failures

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry it on a standard schedule. If retries fail, your access to paid features will pause until billing resumes. Your saved sessions are not deleted in this state.

When sessions are deducted

Each successfully generated analysis bundle is deducted from your available analyses for the current subscription period at the time the analysis runs. A bundle is considered successfully generated when TAILOR has produced the tailored CV, alignment report, cover letter, interview brief, company research and 30/60/90-day plan and they are available for you to view or download from your account. The deduction is final once the bundle is delivered, irrespective of whether any individual document is subsequently downloaded. If a request fails before delivery (for example a server error during generation), that attempt is not counted. Re-running a previously saved analysis does not count against your allowance, as noted in “What you’re buying” above.

8. Referral programme

If you sign up using a friend’s referral link, you may be offered a discount on your first paid period (as displayed at checkout). When you complete your first paid action, your referrer may receive an extension to their allowance, subject to a per-account cap. The exact discount and reward levels are shown in the app and may change with notice. We may suspend or modify the referral programme at any time, including by switching it off entirely; doing so will not affect rewards already credited.

9. Refunds

Because TAILOR is a digital service that begins immediately on subscription, we do not give partial refunds when you cancel mid-period. You simply keep access until the period ends and aren’t charged again. We will, however, consider a discretionary refund in any of the following situations: (a) accidental sign-up and zero use of the paid features; (b) a billing error on our side; (c) a substantial service outage that prevented you from using what you paid for. To request one, email hello@tailor-get-noticed.com within 14 days of the charge.

Nothing in this section affects any non-waivable statutory refund rights you have as a UK consumer.

10. How you may use the service

You agree to use TAILOR only for your own job applications and other lawful career-related purposes. You agree not to:

  • Submit information about another person without their permission, including their CV.
  • Use TAILOR to create or submit a CV or cover letter that misrepresents your skills, qualifications or work history.
  • Resell, sublicense or redistribute outputs of the service to third parties as a paid service of your own.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape or extract our methodology, prompts or framework for use in a competing product.
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, paywalls or rate limits, or share account credentials with others.
  • Use the service in a way that overloads or interferes with normal operation, or that is otherwise unlawful.

We may suspend or close any account that breaches these conditions.

11. Your content and our intellectual property

What stays yours: the CVs, job descriptions and any other inputs you submit, and the tailored documents we generate for you from them. We claim no ownership over your content. We process it only to deliver the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

What stays ours: the TAILOR brand, the website, the analytical framework, the prompts and the underlying software. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the outputs we generate for you. You may not extract, redistribute or republish the framework or prompts.

12. AI outputs and accuracy

TAILOR’s outputs are generated by large language models and tuned by our analytical framework. They are designed to help you put your strongest case forward, but they are not infallible. You are responsible for reviewing every document before you send it. Verify factual claims (dates, employers, qualifications, metrics) and check for tone fit before submission. We don’t guarantee any particular interview, offer or job outcome.

13. Service availability

We aim to keep TAILOR available continuously but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. The service may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, upgrades or due to events outside our reasonable control (including outages at the AI providers or hosting platform we depend on). We won’t be liable for downtime that falls within these exclusions.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using TAILOR at any time by deleting your account from the Account page. Account deletion automatically cancels any active subscription.

We may suspend or close your account, with or without notice, if you breach these terms, if we’re required to by law or if continued provision creates an unmanageable risk to the service or to other users. Where the law allows, we will give you advance notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

15. Changes to the service or these terms

We may update the service from time to time, including by adding, removing or altering features. We may also update these terms, for example to reflect changes in the law, the way the service works or our pricing. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any change. For material changes (including price changes that affect your existing subscription) we will give signed-in users advance notice by email, and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the change takes effect.

16. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, to the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We provide TAILOR “as is”, without warranties (express or implied) that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for any particular purpose beyond what is described on the site.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including (without limitation) lost interviews, lost job opportunities, lost income or loss of business.
  • Our total liability to you in connection with the service in any 12-month period is capped at the total amount you paid us for the service in that same 12-month period (or, if you are a free-tier user only, £100).

17. Your statutory consumer rights

If you are using TAILOR as a consumer in the UK, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including that digital services be supplied with reasonable care and skill, and conform to any description we’ve given. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away. For information about your consumer rights, contact your local Citizens Advice or visit citizensadvice.org.uk.

18. Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute, except that if you are a consumer resident in another part of the UK you may bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you reside.
